01/10/09

First time covering for the Global Command Center on a Saturday which turned out to be a lot harder than I thought it would be. I had to switch between 9 lines of businesses across three sites and had to be mindful of the fact that the elevator was not available between 1:00 - 2:30 AM. The call volume was really high, also, meaning I had to ensure that we had as many CCP's on and that they weren't unnecessarily getting off the phone. Worst part was having to call Mike, who was on his rest day, whenever we needed to switch skills around 'cause I didn't have access yet for some reason. Oh well!

It wasn't all bad, of course. First of all I had Marites, another GCC Business Analyst based in Manila, with me. I also had a really good time during my lunch; not sure if I can say the same for everyone I was with though 'cause 1 seemed like she was either half asleep already or just not interested with everyone else she was with. I was almost tempted to completely disappear 'til the shift ended 'cause my friends were trying to make me to join them in Malate but I was mindful enough not to.
